Origami Japanese, of oru, "folding", and kami, "paper" is the Japanese traditional and secular art of folding paper without cutting or pasting.
Origami only uses a small number of different folds, which may be combined in various ways to form complex designs.
The traditional Japanese Origami is practiced since the Edo Period (1603-1868).
